Also, unless it just hasn't updated yet, tokens from the previous event don't carry over either (like they have the last couple times)
Edit: Earning tokens is worse too - "You will be granted Festivity Tokens when you fund your Steam Wallet (during the sale) or make a purchase using non-Steam Wallet funds." So those that upped their steam wallet (or sold a bunch of stuff on the market) in prep for the sale get screwed

Into the Breach is a really good roguelite strategy game. Fully recommended.

I was clearly wrong, based on the generosity of y'all during these years.

Sooooo... even if you don't offer a prize, I think that as long as there is a topic around people will gift games to others.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that too...honestly, even when it comes to gifting keys, I really only do it because I get so many from my humble bundles/monthly sub, and I'd rather see those keys go to people who can use em than just throwing them on my steam account to rot, never to be played because they aren't exactly my thing

I'd definitely still be giving away keys even if the prizes weren't there

Not really, it's already a collaborative effort. I personally haven't kept the Google Doc properly updated in over 5 years. I also rarely create a topic other than the first and the last.

Before we begin, an announcement: I will be retiring from hosting the Steam Gift Contests after this one. I have been coming less and less often to GameFAQs lately, so this feels like a good place to stop. Plus, since I use FF quotes for contest titles I wouldn't even know what to use for the next one.

I won't be definitely leaving though, and if someone (or someones) picks up the torch for next Summer I will be around, participating rather than organizing.

It has been an amazing 7 years of generosity, let's end it with a bang.

Such a shame. I never got express my gratitude for gifting tekken 7 last summer. Been playing none stop. And i even made it to tekken god prime (maximum rank online) and got to participate in 2 local tournaments in my city
