With kids that run around, yell, throw things, refuse to do work, hide under tables, etc.

i'd dismiss students that act up, reward students that outperform, and divide the class into groups based on performance on a preliminary assessment and have separate curricula / instruction methods for each based on this categorization

that's what i'm saying. I never got why they had people do that on TV to make them look "badass"...is it because they're not conforming to society's idea of chairs?

I have done and to an extent still do so I'm going to say yes.

Though, I don't think there's such a thing as a class entirely comprised of challenging children. It's normally only a few that create all the work.
