Would you be willing to do this?

Just got off doing an upgrade for a major hotel chain. Site had 36 workstations, 1 server and 3 network switches across 3 floors, so lots of walking and lots of stairs (elevators are available, but slow and inconveniently sited). The project took 36 hours: 18 hours of work, a 6 hour break, then another 18 hours of work. No other breaks and no meals. My watch shows I walked over 50,000 steps and climbed over 50 floors worth of stairs.

There are two positions available. The first is Team Lead, who has to replace the server and network switches and restore the databases and all the user's data, and then has to help with any remaining workstations once finished with everything else. This position requires lifting extremely heavy equipment (about 75 pounds) by yourself. You're also responsible for directing the Assistants, and you're the main point of contact between the hotel and project management. The entire project is resting on your shoulders and if anything goes wrong the customer yells at you. You'll get paid about $1250 before taxes.

The other position is one of two Assistants. Your job would be to do inventory of the new equipment, then replace the existing PCs, monitors, and a handful of printers. There's more walking and physical effort (climbing under desks, running cables, moving equipment, etc), but the PCs and monitors are fairly light and you will have very little project responsibility. You might need to deal with a few individual users, but this will be rare. Your gross pay will be about $900.

How long does it take? If it's for less than a week, I dunno, just take the 1250.

EDIT: You mention the previous project took 36 hrs (3 Days)...if it's the same amount of time, then I guess just take the $1250/extra $350 bucks.

No benefits. This is a one-off job. You might be called in to do other sites in the future if you do well on this one, but they will all be much smaller (typically about $300-400 for Assistant, $400-550 for Lead, and 12 to 16 hours)

tl;dr: You'll work for 32 hours in less than 2 days with no time for proper sleep. The $1250 job has less total physical labor but is much more intense, requires higher technical skills, and carries all the responsibility. The $900 has more total physical activity but at lower intensity, requires low technical skills, and carries virtually no responsibility.

900 for the assistant job seems a lot better than 1250 for the lead job

I hate dealing with networking stuff. I can fix it, because nobody else around me knows enough to try, but I get mad.
