I thought it was supposed to be a fake trailer. Like, a "What if they made this movie back in the '80s?" kinda thing.

I get that she's ageless, but it's odd to put the year in the title if it's not the current year.

I mean, future years are okay too. Like, Death Race 2000 was made well before the year 2000.

But to use a year that's already come and gone? I'd make sense if they were adapting 1984. The government lying about what year it is and people eating it up is absolutely the kind of thing that happened in that novel. But it's weird to make "Wonder Woman 1984" in Current Year of 2019.
