it can be. have you installed the proper drivers yet? what kind of connection are you using, dvi, hdmi, vga?

It's a Displayport to DVI adapter. I don't know if I have the proper drivers yet lmao. My second monitor finally kicked on. That one's acting normal. It's connected via HDMI but I can't actually set its resolution any higher, Even though it's way higher resolution than it automatically set for it

did your graphics card come with an install disc? or if you have internet set up you can go to your card manufacturer's website and download the proper software manually. if you're not sure you have the drivers installed yet i would say to go ahead and try this. your screen will likely flash and change colors and resolution a few times during the install process

Yeah I'm downloading drivers now

is this a new a monitor or were you using it prior to this? what model gpu you got?

Same monitors I've always been using. The card is a GeForce RTX 2070 super.

try testing the monitor on another setup if you can.

you may also want to power off and double chk the card is connected firmly.

i once had to do this a few times on an old mobo to get it to read the card properly.

are you sure you didn't accidentally plug the monitor cable into your mobo's integrated video port instead of the graphics card's port? did that myself one time..... felt pretty stupid when i realized what i had done lol....

I figured out the issue with my monitor that is only working at 1080p. It's because this monitor only supports its full resolution when it's connected via display port. That's really annoying.

no idea why the other monitor is just flashing colors though. Very frustrating

Remembered that I actually do own a normal display port cable. So that should work...

Still no idea what's up with my DVI monitor. It's a QNIX QX2710 if that makes a difference. Real pain in the ass tbh.
