My reasoning was it saves a couple seconds when I'm leaving, since that's when I have a deadline.

Then I realized screw deadlines, I don't want to go anyway. Now I pull into the driveway because it's a couple seconds less that I have to spend doing something stupid like working or what have you.

I guess in former decades you could literally wake up one day, walk into a NASA building with your HS diploma and be on the ISS within the week. You can't blame people for defaulting to what they know.

I use to think about backing the driveway. I probably would if I cared. But pulling in and backing out seems to work well where I am. I could probably back in if I get the closer space to the door, though.

But the best driveway are the half circles types. You can go forward entering and leaving your driveway...
