I know this is a strange topic and most don't care. But if there are any makeup ppl here I'd like an opinion, I'm still learning, but I think I like the creativity of makeup, I don't wear it so people can see me whatever, it's like my face is the canvas and the makeup is my paint.

Thx. If I'm gonna keep this is a hobby and expand, it's gonna be my most expensive hobby. Makeup is so fucking expensive when you want a full set.

You're still a beginner but you've not made any big mistakes. The fine tuning skills for precision takes years to get down, so you'll get there if you keep it up. For now my big advice is stick to brands like Nyx if you shop at Ulta. Oh, and stay away from ones like Urban Decay. It's like the difference between water colors and acrylic paint, mistakes stand out more on one than the other so the learning curve should be met. Plus the price difference, learning might take 2-3 eyeliner pencils worth to get down to a t, so messing up with a more expensive one that stands out more might make you feel worse while still learning.

Remember you can also just practice putting it on, then taking it off, then reapply another time and fix everything the second time. Helps you figure out where your strengths are so you can focus on other areas of it.

I'm CIS Male. I don't want to wear makeup to be female or anything like that it's just a fun thing to do. I like the creativity part of it. The makeup I got were already drugstore makeup which I got like 20-80% off from a site already. I'm not gonna get anything expensive until I learn this stuff more.

Hardest part is the eye makeup but after doing it couple of times it's gotten better yeah. I have hooded eyes as well so eye shadow is bit hard, but I've watched Wayne Goss and he has nice tutorials on how to apply and it's kinda been working.

I'm also bit interested in trying out drag makeup some day but none of my stuff is that pigmented or anything to be able to do that atm.

That's good to know then. ^^ Mostly, the thing with eye makeup is deciding if you're going with one flat color or more. I keep it simple for liners but for eyelids I sometimes do something festive with patterns or color mixing, but usually not. At most I'll make a little star or heart type of thing on a cheek. I love my purple lipsticks, fwiw, I always get complements when I wear it. Last time I was out shopping with them I had 3 different girls do so in just one store.

I live like 1-2h drive from Stockholm so if you ever around in the area its not an impossibility.

I like pinks, purples etc, I also like glitter or shiny stuff. Not too much tho. The eye colors I chose now was inspired of the hat, since my pallates had some yellowish, brown shiny stuff.

I'm wearing like 15 products xD, but that's kinda the point. The eye makeup is the most obvious makeup, well the lips too I guess.

I almost got into this a few years ago but ended up just going with skincare actives. It looks clean, which is good. Idk enough about makeup to give any meaningful advice. I think you can pull off more color though.

Yeah I started skincare stuff like 1-2 years ago, just a basic cleanser, toner, eye cream, anti aging gel and moisturizer routine. And it has helped.

I'd like more color for eye makeup, but I don't own that pigmented or colorful eye makeup. I do own some purple and pink lipstick but I used nude peach to match with the rest.
