You pick it up out of curiosity and keep walking. Suddenly Alyx Vance appears before you with a hand on her holster and says "That's the Combine infusers I was looking for! I need you to pass that over to me right now before they use it to teleport an army right here to invade and kill us all." Then before you could even spell your name or react, you hear the sound of a gun being loaded behind you and turn to see Lara Croft dual-weilding pistols pointed right at you. "That relic is the only thing Natla needs to bring about the 7th age and destroy the world. I need you to give it to me. I don't want to hurt either of you but I will if you make me." Then there is a puff of smoke and Batgirl emerges from within it, crouched ontop of a nearby fence with batgadgets at the ready before saying "Hand Brainiac's prove over to me right now citizen! you have no idea how much danger you're in. He actually beats you to it. Then puts a gun to your head and asks you to hand over the piece you found in the previous tomb. You refuse and he's genuinely pissed off like "You're seriously going to die for this? Don't be a fool!" Then a monster turns up and he throws the scion away because it's not worth dying over. Then the monster kills him anyway which pissed me off.
