Goddammit, I said. Then I saw a DVD of Mad Max there on a shelf. It was an insane and desperate train, every single step of the way, and I knew that, but I thought: Demons -> The Bible -> Jesus -> Mel Gibson made a movie about Jesus -> Mel Gibson is in Mad Max. I grabbed the DVD case and ran over to crouch behind my chair, sweat dripping down into my face. I did a little impromptu prayer: Dear God, please bless this DVD and protect me from the demons. I will do anything for You.
