I'm pretty jaded about it. people deny evolution and climate change so why should I he surprised people deny the holocaust? I've come to accept there will always be people that don't care about evidence and base their beliefs around what they think is correct rather than what is shown to be correct

Who said anything about being surprised? There are a lot of fucking stupid people out there and some of them are even worse. We can insult all of them.

No it isn't. There's a difference between "concentration camps" and "death camps." Are you gonna say Japanese internment weren't "concentration camps" either?

I think the people who compare the current us immigration detentions to concentration camps are far worse tbh.

Even though they have the most famous ones, the term "concentration camp" predates the Nazis and the immigration detention centers definitely qualify.

They're people who demand an impossibly high standard of proof for the Nazi Judeocide (forensic examination of exhumed remains of gassing victims, a complete paper trail, painstaking dissection and analysis of statistical methodologies, recorded film of Hitler signing a confession in his own blood, etc etc) -- and they'd probably still reject it anyway. Yet they've no qualms about repeating claims that Stalin murdered ten, twenty, thirty million people, simply on the strength of a sentence they once read somewhere, and they'll stick to it like an article of religious faith.

I'm not denying at all. I'm pointing out that Holocaust deniers insist on "absolute proof" of the Nazi extermination of the Jews, yet they don't raise that bar that high for any other genocide. Why not? Because they're not questioning the Holocaust in good faith; instead, the reason why they're working that hard to be that skeptical is because they refuse to sympathize with Jews.
