As a calorie counter, I appreciate smaller portions so I get the complaints about size. It's a pain to eat at some restaurants in the US since their one meal is as many calories as I can eat in a day.

Work out dude

Calories in vs calories out

Bodybuilders eat like 10+ calories a day

Working out helps, but I have limited time for that and it takes a lot of work to burn off a substantial amount. It's much easier to just eat less for me.

I honestly don't remember the last time a chippy I went to had different sized fish. Always just had one size (in whatever variety of whatever you wanted) and then could have small/regular/large portion of chips.

man your chippy sucks

I've never gone to any where I live now, since I turned vegan, but I used to live down in Plymouth a decade ago and don't recall size options on the fish. Lots of different kinds of fish, but you got the size they had for it.

Didn't say they never had bigger fish, as many places certainly did. Just never recalled them having an option other than the big ones they had - but like I said, been a decade since I lived down there so probably just forgotten tbh.. And I'd usually go to Jakes by the student halls, but going down to the barbican for fish was always good, yes.

Holy crap I bet they have to work out for like three seconds to burn all that off

It takes me 3 minutes of intense cardio to burn off 15 calories.

That fish does seem kinda huge in that pic.

That's small for a UK Fish'n'Chips fish.

Go to York or Plymouth and they would laugh in your face if you called that a huge portion of fish.

I'm glad we've finally moved on from "this is the usual size in the UK" to "this is the size I saw the one time I ate at a chippy there".
