My car headlights are just horrible and night driving is really bad..I'm pretty sure the issue is the fogginess of my headlights.

I've tried one of those restoration kits but it didn't work at all. Is there a point where the headlights can be so bad that those kits don't work and you just have to buy a while new headlight assembly?

They clean the housing, since usually replacements change the bulb and leave the outer housing.

Could be the bulbs themselves getting weak.

Maybe, but looking at the headlight, I doubt it.

Sometimes the plastic itself turns yellow and no amount of cleaning will clear them up.

By headlights assembly I don't mean the bulb, I mean the outer housing

Restoration kits aren't good for much. What you'll wanna do is get some high grit sandpaper and wet sand your headlight housings, then go over it with some rubbing and polishing compound.

Some headlight housing lenses can be ridiculously expensive. My Camry needs new due to age and sun damage. My Tundra is fine thankfully because it would be over $200 to replace.

P.s. I bought a bulb 2 years ago for $25 for the Camry, but those housings get stupid depending on your make/model.

Thing is that my old 1994 Explorer was almost 22 years old and still had the same headlights when it went to the junkyard.

Or at least for the 15 years I drove it.

I mean is it illegal to have glass headlights anymore.

I used this about 9 months ago to clean mine and it worked incredibly well-and lasts.

my lights were terrible and the difference was dramatic.

I'll look into that.

If worst comes to worst, I'll just try and see about buying a whole new one. A quick search shows that it shouldn't be too expensive for an 07 Camry
