Like buying a second or third house to rent out then eventually selling it down the road?

If the price makes sense, sure.

Hard to find a good deal in some markets though, unless you put in the time too find them off market

I'm still a first time home owner. Will be mortgage free next year. Currently renting out my basement and a master bedroom (this one is temp). The house is decent 4 bedrooms in total. Thinking of renting it out and buying a 2nd home to live in. I could also use the home equity, but don't think I'd need to do that. After renting out the first home for about a year or 3 I'd then sell it. The value already has doubled up.

Yeah I might wait till the next crash. I'm gonna talk with a real estate agent next year and get some advice. I'll talk with 2 or 3 to see what their thoughts are. I could possibly rent out the 4 bedroom home for $2K plus utilities.

My dad is a real estate investor, his #1 advice is don't listen to real estate agents. "Theyre not investors. You know better than them"

Haha good point. I'll see what their advice is. They probably would want me to sell so they make more money that way.
