I cant also deny that it looks a little goofy. But the designs grown on me.

Ive played enough video games with vehicles that looked exactly like that. I wouldnt mind driving something like that irl.

Stats on it seem really good too. As is the price.

ans Im not the type of person that could give a fuck what people think. So let the haters hate. I mean I see people driving around in the fuckin Nissan cube or those ridiculously tiny smart cars. IMHO those are far more ridiculous.

Who knows. I live in Canada and were JUST starting to see these vehicles on the streets and the charging stations

It does look cool, but it's a Tesla so it's gonna be a completely broken promise. It will cost more than they say and do less.

Also Tesla apparently attempted assassination by cop on a whistleblowing former employee. Not good.

This shit is disgusting and ridiculous.

Remember watching movies in the 70s-80s that depicted what the future would be like and it doesnt turn out that way?

That's Musks idea of this truck. He watched too much Total Recall.

Hes so arrogant its laughable.

Those designs are the result of years of wind tunnel and crash testing.

I want one so badly. I've never cared about Tesla before this. But it looks so ridiculous and cartoon-futuristic that I want one.

Especially if they actually start at $40,000 when it releases. I've always thought it'd be great to get a truck for work and cuz my wife and I want to get an RV someday, but I don't like the look of pickup trucks or the fact they're gas-guzzlers.

It's going to be completely useless. "800hp! 1,000lb/ft of torque!" Yeah sure, and you'll get that for 80 miles. You can kill their sports cars in less than 100 miles with heavy load.

"Go out to the country with your electric truck! Bring a generator to charge it because it'll be dead when you get there!"

When you put a load on this thing, it's range is going to plummet.

Teslas are built like trash in general. It's like a Lamborghini Countach. All the quality of something built in your grandad's shed. But cool to put a poster on the wall about.

Then let's cover the fact that there's no way that thing meets DOT dimensional regulations. Do you guys know WHY every vehicle in each class looks so similar? It's because dimensions are regulated within as little as 1/8".
There ain't much room to play with.
So it isn't gonna look like that.

Let's not even mention that Tesla exists because Musk gets huge govco subsidies selling his electric cars that use hundreds of pounds of lithium (let's not talk about how hard of the environment lithium mining is), and charge by a power grid that's nearly 50% supplied by coal fired power plants.
Elon Musk is a professional welfare queen.

Electric vehicles are a lie at this point with our current infrastructure. They're a boldfaced lie that is going nowhere until the power grid, which can barely handle a heat wave causing people to use their AC more than usual, is substantially upgraded (trillions of dollars in North America).
Imagine plugging in 50 million (a fraction of the vehicles in the US) every day. These things pull what? 30 amps?
Good luck. There'd be outages everywhere.

People who buy Musk's cult of personality are the worst. Everything you said is correct. There is nothing wrong with trying to improve the environmental impact of cars, but having some twitter dickhead lie about every aspect of his projects, suck money from the government, and treat his workers like shit isn't an improvement. It would take change in government for electric cars to be any sort improvement, and the only change the American government has shown itself to be capable of is change for the worse for everybody but the rich. And spending on infrastructure would be bad for the rich, which is why we stopped doing it decades ago and the country is falling apart.
