This would be easier if I had written down every single thing I pirated that I listened to in the early-mid part of this decade. Satans Rock n Roll by Chapel and Satanic Royalty by Midnight would probably be in there. As far as albums by older established bands go, Ironbound and the Electric Age by Overkill deserve a shout out.

I stick to collecting a lot of cheesy 80s sleazy glam metal, 80s thrash, obscure under the radar 70s hard rock/proto metal, and NWOBHM. Yeah their music (at least what I've heard of it) isn't Nazi-themed but the band themselves are apparently into that stuff in real life. I'm not the type to not listen to a band because of stuff like this but I can see why someone would be (and I do have a policy of not paying for music from bands like this, same reason I don't buy Arghoslent shit even though I like their music as well)

There a couple metal heads at work. Each band they listen to tends to be pretty repetitive, using the same handful of chords in every song. That's my problem with metal. It's like they find one good song and just tweak it over and over agian.

Metal has a lot of variety and complexity given its sub-genres. If you want wanky multiple time changes and difficultly executed music, theres plenty of metal for that with the progressive and more technical stylings.

Meh. The music isn't my thing. I don't like the growling. 90% of it is misanthropic and many of it's fans a cringy, "enlightened" edgelords.

Yeah, you dont know what youre talking about. Theres plenty of metal out there with zero growls, unanimously the non-extreme styles. If you dislike something because of its fan base, you never gave it a fair shot.

I've tried. I just don't like the sound, at all. The fanbase was just the icing on the cake. The only metal I like is White Zombie. Inb4thatsnotmetal!
