The influx of political posts spreading misinformation here and on the internet in general needs to be culled.

Dozens of troll accounts infect GameFAQs weekly and their only purpose is to deny evidence and dispute facts. This is clearly violating the ToU's disruptive posting policy as it falls under content that

Intentionally antagonizes other users by being inflammatory, irrelevant, disruptive, or offensive

If the mod staff doesn't have the power to outright ban these accounts on sight, can its userbase at least be allowed to make that determination?

I've reported posts in the past and never saw them deleted, so I'm just questioning if it's a thing or not.

Yes. You are strongly advised to put detailed notes of what is incorrect and what the fact is (or a source that outlines as such) as not all mods are up to date with politics and not all mods live in the same nation that you do and may not be following the political news that you do.

It never only applied to fictional stuff, there's old topics on Hellhole discussing its applicability and it was clearly applicable to political garbage, for example.

at the time he modded one or two people I believe who bitched about it on CE weeks later after it was revealed what really happened and error was like "guys okay see at the time we didn't know what we did now" and people were like "ERROR BAD MOD"
