like SERIOUSLY I have to take mood stabilizers and anti psychotics for my condition and I NEVER shot up a school or anything crazy. It is insulting to people who actually have mental health issues, some people are just horrible people in general.

I didn't get put on meds until I was like 21 and a half. Some of these school shooters are literally teenagers so I think this is fair game.

Unchecked mental illness is a serious issue and whether you like it or not, it's responsible for people doing lots of rash things in this country.

I don't assume that any person who struggles with mental illness is a shooter or killer but enough violent criminals have documented or undocumented mental illnesses and you can't ignore that statistic.

Yes, mental illness should not be the sole excuse for a shooting, but its not wrong to point out that it existed.

From what I remember, many mass shooters were taking some type of medication to treat a mental illness, or they stopped taking it and then snapped. The argument that youve never shot anyone, despite being on meds, lacks perspective when we consider that other factors such as poverty or home abuse are frequently counted as influencing factors for crime. Millions of people are poor and have been abused, yet they dont steal or act violently, so what then?
