1. Eating is one of lifes great inherent pleasures, and not exploring the ability to taste and enjoy things by extension seems wasteful.
2. Having to accommodate for picky eaters is annoying.

Usually you can just pop into any tavern or sports bar type restaurant and theyll have a shroom + swiss option.

Dealing with a really picky eater is like dealing with a little kid because it severely limits what you can cook up or which restaurants you can take them out to. It's just not worth being friends with or even dating picky eaters when you can't even enjoy your favorite foods when they are included.

I don't really give a shit what people think about it. At the end of the day, I don't choose what I like and don't like, and I'm not going to eat some shit I don't like for someone else's sake. Like this dude above me talking about not being friends with people because of food they don't like. Why would anyone give a shit about what this type of person thinks about it.

I got shit on for years by relatives for being a picky eater. It never really affected them though so what's the point besides being a dick? You can't control what you like and don't like.

People dont even have to accommodate me yet they givr me shit about it. If they dont have any good im willing to eat I just dont eat I dont make a deal about it.

It sucks being a picky eater tbh. Nothing I can do to change what I like and don't like, but I will try anything once because I've had dishes with an ingredient I hate end up being amazing.

People are entitled to their opinions, but fuck the people who judge others who don't like onion. I think it's the most common thing people are picky about and it's not a taste thing

If it comes to actual taste, I can't fault you. I associate "picky" more with people who just outright refuse to try new things in the first place.

i try not to knock on picky eaters since i don't eat pork, or pretty much any meat other than beef, chicken, turkey, or fish

but every now and then, i encounter someone whose pickiness about certain things blows my mind

I generally wont try new things in public as I do have a nasty gag reflex and might puke. At home I'm more game to try things.

For me on onions its both taste and texture. I dont like them minced but I can tolerate them in that state otherwise i cant handle em.

You know most resturants allow people to tell them to leave out certian things you dont like. So unless they just dislike that resturant in general hows it affecting you? I hate chinese food in general but im fine with some teriyaki chicken if im with people that want to go to a chinese place
