So if there's a wreck, or a patrol car, or a slightly yellowish plant, or a grain of sand on the side of the road where it is completely harmless and nobody needs to care about it, nobody pulls the E Brake, does a 360, comes to a stop, gets out of the car, does a backflip, gets back in the car, guns it in reverse, sticks head and torso out the window, and screams "WOW HOW INCREDIBLY INTERESTIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!"

Of course, this will need to be coupled with smart controls that will prevent you from running into it anyway.

Or alternatively, they could always invent that spring-loaded steering wheel boxing glove I have been advocating for years.
