My wife is vegetarian so I guess I've slowly been morphing into a semi-vegetarian over the past few months without really meaning to, especially during the week. On the weekends I'd still eat a burger or have pepperoni pizza or have chicken at a restaurant or something. On Sunday I went to a BBQ and had a big steak as well as some BBQ chicken, and felt like absolute shit after it.

After watching The Game Changers as well, I think I'm ready to go full time vegetarian. I've been feeling so much lighter and have more energy, after eating BBQ I felt so sluggish and gross.

I saw that documentary this weekend. I know there are some YouTube videos where people debunk some of the claims used in it, but I haven't digged into those.

But anyway, I switched to eating little meat a couple years ago. Like eating meat once every week or two. Honestly, I don't remember feeling that much different when I did it , but it has been a while.

I've been eating more meat lately, trying to bulk up. I've been eating 2 lbs of delmonico steaks a weak with scallions and portabella fried up on them

the reason you feel like crap after eating most meat is because it's factory farmed garbage.

conventional factory raised chickens are fed arsenic to combat infection which leads to massive amounts of this highly toxic metal in their tissues. I've been through arsenic poisoning many times from working construction with treated wood so I know exactly what it feels like...I get that same feeling from factory chicken. If I buy organically raised chicken from the local farmer everything is fine. Will never eat anything but that now. I don't care if the package says "all natural" "free range" or any of that marketing crap. If it doesn't say ORGANIC and/or PASTURE raised the chickens are confined and they are fed arsenic.

As for steaks from cows....similar. I don't think they are fed arsenic but they are still fed garbage soybeans/corn that is loaded with pesticides/herbicides which accumulates in tissue (ESPECIALLY in the fat) which in turn poisons you. This again can be remedied by getting meat from a good old fashion farmer that does things the right way and doesn't take industry shortcuts. Much more expensive but well worth it.

I've also been cutting back, and I think I'm ready to go vegetarian now as well. I might do vegan when it's not too difficult. If they can they get cheese as good and available as real cheese I'll go full vegan. I think we are going to get that soon enough with lab-grown milk, which will probably come sooner than lab-grown meat.

Yeah I don't really give a shit about animals dying, the environmental strain the meat industry puts on our resources is ridiculous and what made me pull the trigger.

I mean, I do feel bad about animals dying (I know that makes me a hypocrite), but the volume of water being wasted on an unnecessary commodity is mind blowing.

You don't have to be vegetarian to think Americans eat way too much red meat.
