My god it was fun.

Granted, some of that time was spent eating while watching Dota 2...some of it was spent waiting for games or chilling in lobbies. But yeah, good times. A lot of people will regret their addictions but I do not.

Do you play solo or with friends?
I used to play DotA in War3 but couldn't imagine playing it it solo. Even if you pick a pure support like Warlock or something if you get stuck with a bad team you get punished if you leave right?

That's pretty nuts, but I definitely added up my Bloodborne files and they were like 600 so I can't really talk. That's not even my highest single game either.

I did both. Later on when I made in-game friends I played with a party most of the time. But early on I just spammed solo matches to get good. I few of my irl friends played, but as soon as I got good enough to play with them they moved on to other games so there was a period when I played alone a lot until I made Dota friends :3

Dota is very punishing to leavers, and there is no concede button (Aside from private matches and I think maybe Captains Mode if both teams are parties of 5), which means there are pros and cons. But I had a lot of fun with it solo, but I have pretty thick skin. Even then Valve put you with people with a similar demeanor, and now it's even better. Now that you can select your role in ranked, people are generally not as pissed as they used to be. The downside is "core" roles have longer ques, but support games pop almost instantly.

That's impressive. Steam says 9k hours but I only have around 5600 matches, so really it's only like....five thousand hours....

Okay maybe I regret it a little bit.

Yeah I would do a lot of PVP and co-op, and it's kind of spread out too since you can't respec your character so I'd start a new one if I wanted to try different builds. I had also put in about 125 hours before getting the DLC so I started over for that as well. I was gonna do a run since I was craving a horror theme but can't do scary games and saw multiple 100+ hour files and was like "damn", it didn't feel like that much lol.
