Last time I ordered their orange chicken I remember it being 80% breading and only 20% actual meat ._.

They better have improved.

Orange chicken is the best but make sure to go during a busy time so the food is frequently changed out instead of just sitting there overcooking. A few times I went during off-hours and my chicken was hard, stale as fuck. I almost wanted my money back but I didn't feel like driving back out there.

It's alright. It's way better than its quick chain Chinese peers, like Manchu Wok or whatever.

I used to like to get the Black Pepper Chicken, back when I used to go.

You could always ask them to make a fresh batch instead.

Every morning they go to a good Chinese restaurant and buy a few meals, then throw them in the Wok just before opening. Then that guy just stands there and flips it all day, while it gets more and more burnt. Then they throw it away at closing.

Also, their honey walnut shrimp is delicious, but costs a bit extra as its a premium item. Like seriously, hands down the best item there.

this isn't true at all. at every Panda Express location near me, you can see directly into the kitchen where you can see them cooking everything in woks, and you can see into the glass refrigerators where they take out whole fresh veggies to chop up and use. i don't understand what someone hopes to gain by blatantly lying about something so easily verifiable as false.

Also, this. Perhaps he's thinking of a different restaurant?

Uh huh, and you're tell this to a person whose family actually owned and ran a Chinese restaurant for at least 15 years.

Their formula is very Americanized and different from the typical Chinese fast food too.

i don't agree with the price (maybe a dollar and a half too expensive) but the food is good though takeout places might end up being better depending on where you live.

you get more entree if you choose orange chicken or teriyaki.
wish they gave more of the sweetfire as this is the best one. 3 item plate is about 9$ but it's filling.

I always get the Shanghai Angus Steak with fried rice. I'll sub the honey sesame chicken if they have it though.

Timing is everything with Panda. Go during lunch or a similarly busy time with high turnover. Otherwise, your food will have been under a heat lamp for way too long and will be basically inedible.

I'm eating it right now. Orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and broccoli beef. It's decent. Annoying how you get the chicken teriyaki and then have to ask them to put teriyaki sauce on it. Do you want the sauce? Who the fuck orders chicken teriyaki and doesn't want teriyaki sauce on it? Otherwise it's just a plain grilled chicken.

I think it's because they cook the chicken with the sauce, making it teriyaki chicken. So if you want more sauce dripped over it, it's teriyaki chicken with teriyaki sauce. But yeah, still weird they have you ask for it. Would make more sense that they put it on unless you ask them not to.

I'm also surprised no one else here eats the honey walnut shrimp. It's not something I've seen in other restaurants and tastes good.

I honestly don't think I've ever been to a panda express. Regular Chinese takeout spots have always done fine by me.

Yeah, I tried it just to try it when one opened here. Wasn't horrible but wasn't great and it's a bad cost/quantity/quality ratio compared to literally every other Chinese place in town.

Food tastes good :)
