Of course, but I'm saying that if he was down on his dating luck, getting to the root of the problem wouldn't necessarily take a detective. No offense meant to him though.

A lot of people here seem to be under the assumption that he looks bad and that makes it nigh impossible for someone like him to get a date. I don't know if you're making that case here, but it's certainly laughably false.

i used to be one of those guys who always said to just take better pics, write charming bios, and wear better clothes. i gotta say, it doesnt seem like that kind of thing works anymore. i barely get one match a week now so something is clearly different on tinder, especially considering ive only gotten more attractive since i first started using it. i think it's gonna skew to the top 5% of guys in terms of looks (prob money as well)

honestly a better strat at this point is prob to cold approach people at clubs/bars

Did you try paying for it, or going to a different city etc? Because any time I went to a new city I would be flooded with matches, and I'm guessing it has to do with getting high priority when you're new in the queue. So I guess Tinder Gold would also bump up your priority?

A couple years back when I tried tinder, I got loads of matches. Lots of bots, lots of people who'd then ignore/unmatch after I'd message. Only a couple actually talked with me, and they just ended up ghosting. I get that I'm not great at talking with people in general, and maybe I wasn't forward enough about what I was looking for so they lost interest, but even so I doubt those couple of interactions would've led anything. It seems pointless to even try when you've failed at getting a date in real life, and on the "easy mode" dating apps/sites.

Literally only met a single person off a dating site, and that was just to get to know each other as friends(she wasn't looking for anything more and I thought a friend would do me good). Shortly after she told me that she would never ever be with someone like me after she guessed I was a virgin after getting embarrassed at sex talk. It just makes me uncomfortabke to talk about face to face, and that was enough. v_v

Same here.

I've gotten way more attractive (work out, style, maturation, better pictures in general) since I first tried Tinder like 5 years ago. Back then, I was getting at least two or three matches a day, had several dates. Now, I can barely get a match anymore. Either something has changed with algorithms and they're screwing over those who don't buy Tinder Gold, or not as many girls use Tinder anymore.

Only Incels buy gamefaqs accounts.

It's not but know your audience. If you are on a date with a nerdy girl, it's all gravy. Most women aren't like that and don't know what a Dark Souls or Naruto is.

It doesn't matter where the conversation goes so long as you can be charming and confident (even if you are faking it).

I've gotten to the point to where I focus more on working and focusing on how I see myself than trying for a relationship. I don't really have much for getting a date and I'm happy with where I am. Gets lonely at times, but that's just life for me in general.

Women also like attractive people. There is no guarantee that you can become attractive enough to secure a date, but I will say hitting the gym so you can maximize your looks is better than whatever dating profile wizardry you guys are trying to theorize here. No one cares very much what your interests are if you are attractive.
