i dunno, man. i like pokemon, but it feels so safe. it's such a safe franchise, it hardly ever takes real chances. perhaps i have the right mentality in that i've only ever played like the first generation, and X/Y. at least X/Y were a graphical leap and looked legitimately different from the rest of the generations, aside from gen 1 (which was obviously new at the time).

Tbh the first gen and x/y are some of the weakest entries. The first ones had so manly glitches and was terribly balanced and they had bad movepools.
