I agree. Art style/graphics look like D2 but full 3D and high quality but not overly taxing in terms of system requirements. Glad to see Druid coming back.

You are probably right about the PC users, but I suspect console owners will have a different experience.

no, that's how endgame is in every ARPG now lol. I've playe d3, PoE, Grim Dawn, and Torchlight 2 and max level builds are all either constantly do damage to keep yourself alive or die instantly

That could be true yeah, but I'll be playing on pc. D3 I only had a little bit of console experience with so no idea how that will translate to 4.

I was happy to see Werebear make a comeback :D

I hope they don't get too nostalgic on class shit though. I know people bitched about D3 initially having WD instead of Necro, but I like new and adjusted classes. Gotta have a mix of nostalgia and new shit class/skill-wise imo. That's the best route for the series as far as I'm concerned. Mix old with new.

I have heard good things about Grim Dawn, though Path of Exile seems to be the popular alternative to Diablo. I like that the dev team keeps putting out updates.

Grim Dawn is a fantastic ARPG that has been closely compared to D2, where the loot plays a huge role in the game. It's got stupid amounts of character depth and customization. Devs are still hammering out updates too.

I've heard nothing but good things about PoE, just never played it personally.

Maybe I should give grim dawn another try it didnt click for me last time I played

This is true. Unfortunately only some of the dungeons have change-ups to walls being placed in different spots, but overall it will remain the same. They have introduced the Shattered Realm in the last year, which is similar to Rifts in D3 so you can do some hardcore loot hunting.

I noticed that Torchlight 2 is on sale in the PS4 online store. It's been so long since I played it, I can't remember if I finished it. The art style is very different from Diablo 4, but the Torchlight games are quality titles and worth a try, if you're looking for an action RPG to bide the time until D4 release.

They're fun but pretty basic and very little to offer post game. There's an endless dungeon thing like in FATE and that's it.

They're moddable but most of the mods are not very good and poorly balanced.

Basically they're worth the price you pay. No word on what D4 will cost but these should be cheaper than even D3 is now.
