I wont judge by the gameplay since I still have no idea wtf it's about but I'm more astounded by how silly the game is marketed. Looks like a story that's actually simple but made overcomplicated by a whole bunch of silly disconnected scenes and a super abstract narration that tries to lump all the cool words in a single sentence.

seriously, if this wasn't made by Kojima, the game would prob be getting more criticised, right?

kojima is a washed-up hack who has been coasting off his success from 15+ yrs ago, he is basically grandfathered into games industry relevance

It's kinda a testament to the man's name, and frame that he was able to hype up a game such as this. But most AAA games kept this much in the dark pre release usually turn out as trash unfortunately.

You know any quick game description can make a plot seem incredibly simple, right? "Teen group saves world from destruction" is how you can boil down like, 90% of jRPGs as an example. "Secret agent does a stealth mission in remote Alaskan base" is how you describe Metal Gear Solid. Just saying.

he had a small role in a small indie film many years ago. he had like 2 minutes of screen time he walked in and a guy offered in like $50 to let him perform oral sex on him and norman reedus accepted the deal cause 50 bucks is still 50 bucks

Nah, it doesn't look horrible. I'll admit though, I have almost no hype for this game. It looks weird and cool, but I still don't really have a good idea of what exactly I have to look forward to. This is one case where I'm actually going to base my decision on reviews. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised. I mean, Kojima's made some pretty great games.
