I agree with this take. Our generation is just a product of information and circumstances given to us. There's nothing inherently different about us younger people that would have made us act differently if put in the shoes of generations previous to ours.

I know it's just in my case, but I actually see more responsibility for life and one's future and not living in the past blaming generations before them from Gen Z than I do millennials. My boys and their friends and some other people I know that age online seem to recognize their need to take control of their lives and not wait around for someone else to do it. My 16 year old is and his best friend are already interviewing for a job. My son wants to have his own money for when he drives and to pay his insurance. Which he doesn't know I will do for him when that time comes. He's done "jobs" before to earn money for things he's wanted before.

And now you get 20-something and 30-something millennials so mired in disillusion about their lot in life, you'll hear them say things like the government should redistribute the wealthy in American's money to everyone else. I have more confidence in Gen Z doing more for this country and it's economy that I ever will millennials.

Just because I say your generation has shit taste in video games and you spend all your time on your phone instead of learning how to use technology properly doesn't mean I disagree with your politics. A lot of what young people think does coincide with how I believe the world should work.
