TNA became utter shit when they hired Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan to run things. For the most part, given what their overall goal is, AEW is mostly doing everything right.

There are certainly some similarities, but really I dunno why TNA never took off, they had a few very solid years there in... eh, the mid 00's or so? They always were a little bad about pushing random guys that just got let go by WWE but they had a good mix of young talent and guys like Angle and Sting. Yet there was never even a fraction of the hype that AEW has.
Maybe TNA just came about too soon after the deaths of WCW and ECW, and to be fair the early TNA shows on the weekly PPVs were basically like extentions of 2001 WCW with more midget wrestlers. It took a few years for it to get away from that and by then maybe it was too late? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah, I swapped my TV services around for football season and lost AXS but I'm excited to go back afterwards... didn't get Pursuit before but now I'll actually be able to watch iMPACT! --- ... It's complicated as both AEW and WWE have been on while major sporting events have also been airing. Not me, but I've actually seen a few people in public wearing AEW shirts. Someone who came into my work had an Inner Circle shirt.
