I've received complaints that I only use blackout texts.

But I feel like blackout texts allow others to enter the topic to discuss non spoiler stuff. Whereas spoiler warning in the topic title discourages people from entering the topic out of fear.

Plus, have you ever hit 80/80 character limit? Sometimes there is no space to add SPOILERS in the title. So blackout text would win by default

They're for separate uses.

Use topic title disclaimer when the topic itself is about spoiler content, use blackout spoilers if just one post is.

I always do post messages like this:

[Name of story]
Spoiler details I want to discuss.

Basically I announce what I will be posting about so people know what is under the blackout. Nothing else in the post would be spoilers.
