...like they did for NES and SNES. They put the N64 and all the previously released consoles on the Virtual Console, so why not? I just want to play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, without having to pay a small fortune just to play it.

Nope. I had a Wii when it was new, then I sold it.

Dang. The things you can do with a modded Wii/U...

That is to say modded aesthetically. That clean white surface can be decorated in many pleasing ways.

Hacked Switch consoles.

Better wait for the next console that doesn't basically give away free eshop games

I almost made a topic on this.

Fans have been lauding for GCN titles since VC on the Wii. It boggles me Nintendo hasn't done this yet. The most they've done is N64 games at best. Here's hoping the Switch eventually delivers. I'm really liking the NES/SNES apps they've got going. I doubt they'd offer a similar service for GCN titles, except for maybe an additional cost.

On topic I don't think they will. I find it a lot more likely that they will be released selectively as remasters. But how knows.

Yeah I don't understand why more games aren't getting the remaster treatment. I'd pay to play the Galaxy games as I never got to finish the first one, and I never played 2. Like, people would buy them. There is a market for remasters. I just don't get it.

Despite the game being already complete before being remastered, there is still a good amount of development time spent into porting the game to another system. Also costs involved in marketing the remaster.

This is why the Switch is getting games like the Witcher and previously L.A. Noir, games that have been out on other systems for a long time already.

They're trying to figure out the way to make the most money off of Gamecube games. Until then, they'll deny them to you

Just go to a garage sale. There's like a 75% chance you can pick up a Wii for 10 bucks.

Gamecube emulation isn't even perfect on PCs yet

They'd probably have to port each individual game

Same. Sadly they think they have to bundle up a limited library in NSO to get people to subscribe to it

It really makes me sad they Microsoft and companies like GOG are the only ones who make an effort to restore old games without requiring ports from the developers.

Yeah but does Nintendo know their audience? I'm sure people will pay for remasters.
