A monopoly of players begging for single-player DLC only to get more online garbage.

Once they make Bully Online, they'll never have to make another game.

Yet somehow their games are way less repetitive than fleshed out systems. Ill take that exchange any time.

are you really implying rockstar games aren't repetitive

rockstar, aka restrictive "go to location and get in a shootout" mission designers?

True. But every game is repetitive to an extent. All the extra stuff Rockstar throws in makes it feel far less repetitive than most games. Especially during the free roaming. In RDR2 you can make a full day out of hobbies

Didnt RD2 start with insanely stupid online purchases that made no sense?

I remember that it did.

They gave a full 60 hour campaign filled with more world depth than any game before it (in its genre) with absolutely no microtransactions and people ignore that completely to try and trash the online. Which btw, the online is still better than most games. It just takes forever to earn clothes and stuff.

I have 130 hours on the campaign and can still run into new events

I found RDR2 gameplay a little sluggish and cumbersome at times.

But I still recognize it's a pretty incredible achievement for a video game. It's an amazing game. We're spoilt as hell tbh.

It's more that after release they don't improve single player at all.

Like recently, they added bounty hunting for single-player. Why not add THE SAME BOUNTIES to single player to give people something to do in single player? In GTAV, add all the new masks and vehicles to single player as well. But after the initial release, single player is an afterthought. Gotta sell those Shark Cards!

Man, some gamers will just never be happy. A company finally releases a gigantic full single player experience for the regular 60$ price tag and people still gotta complain. It's obvious they don't want to add the bounties to single player cause they want motive for people who wouldn't normally play multiplayer to try it out. Yeah, the ploy is to get you to spend money on the online. But that's their right, when they've already put in more work than any other company is willing to do on their single player experience. People who always look at what they don't have instead of what they're given will always be unsatisfied. And that's why you're not the target audience they aim to please. Because you wouldn't be satisfied as long as someone else was getting something you didn't have. If the put those bounties in you'd just complain that the other online Job stuff wasn't in the main game.

Btw, you can do the online bounties solo. It's only the Story Missions you can't do solo online.

My only real issue with Rockstar is their obvious reliance on MTX and online multiplayer, but that's also endemic in literally every other company under Take-Two's umbrella. I'd like single player content, but I don't expect it and it doesn't bother me as a consequence. I just stay away from the multiplayer.

I just jumped into Online this month for RDR2. If you're into just wondering around the world and doing hobbies, you can have some fun solo. Just don't expect to be able to dress your guy up. The clothes prices are ridiculous. You can earn the guns with time but the clothes seem like they're priced waaay too high. It's not like you're gonna pick clothes when you still need a shotgun or rifle.

The key to not have griefers is to load an area and then ride to another area. You'll barely come across anyone that way cause they all loaded back in the other area.
