Joseph Sinawa,a Florida Man has been ordered to pay CHILD SUPPORT despite DNA test proving he's NOT the father!!

He signed a birth certificate of the child when it was born because he believed it was his child as he planned to be there for the child financially and was paying 1/3 of his paycheque for them.

But when he went to a courthouse to obtain visiting rights for the child, a judge ordered a DNA test to determine paternity

He said he was "emotionally devastated" to learn he was not the father and said "At the time it had been taking $83 out of my paycheque, more than 1/3 of my pay. When i thought i was the father, i didn't have a problem with it"

But the judge ordered the support to end as the Florida Dept of Revenue appealed the decision and now he's been forced to continue to pay until it is resolved in court even though the mother is OK with him not paying

She said just wanted this to be over and done with

He believes his appeal will ultimately fail and that it was a waste of Florida taxpayer resources to appeal a decision when the end result is the same.

He is now representing HIMSELF in court as he's tight on cash and can't continue to pay for himself and the child that isn't his

Do you think he's poor based on the information given on his paycheque?

$83 is "more than a third" of his pay? Holy shit. Does he flip burgers for 12 hours a week or something?

Also, this is another reason why a mandatory paternity test pretty much needs to be done ASAP to prevent situations like this from ever occurring. Being told you're the father and stepping up to the plate shouldn't fuck you over when it's later determined to not be true.

Because it's not a justice system. It's a court (AKA legal) system that is flawed.
