Joker was bleak and irredeemable. It may win some technical awards and get Joaquin a nomination or award here and there, but the story is completely incendiary and without a conscience. It made me feel bad, but not in a way that made me want to help anyone or provide some relief to any peoples or places. Instead it inspires fear and pursues the old idea that mentally ill people are to be feared and hated, locked away, and forgotten. The plight of the ill in joker is one of emptiness, hollow promise, and ultimately pain and the infliction of pain, ok?

Most idiotic opinion about a movie I've ever seen. Although you're entitled to it.

Apparently everyone can be proud of who and what they are except white people. Stop the unending racism of the left. Call them out on their racism.

I haven't seen it but everything I've heard about it makes it feel like the polar opposite of what a Joker movie should be.

It's incel bait with an incel mascot slapped on.

I don't know what's more sad, that you genuinely use the word incel or the fact you use it, yet continue to sport the signature you have. Irony.

Literally nothing about the Joker in this movie would relate him to incels, other than being mentally ill.

I loved the scene where Joker is frustrated with his social worker for not listening to him. And when he writes "The hardest part of having a mental illness is everyone expects you to act like you don't." Those scenes were very relatable. Otherwise, yes, incredible movie, but there were no good guys. Everyone was an asshole. With the exception of the single mom. She never acted like an asshole. Although the only scenes she had were being kinda annoyed at her annoying kid and being terrified of an intruder in her apartment.

It's been awhile, what of it? I think it was the new Blade Runner or something.

Ok, so you haven't. You couldn't be more wrong. It's a very legitimate take on the Joker, it's the first non-capeshit movie I've seen in like 10 years. It is a movie that tricks all these dumb 16 year old MCU fans into watching a good movie for the first time in their lives. Kids who think punch-men Endgame is philosophical art.

The Joker very clearly does not blame the woman that rejects him for his loneliness, so even him, the heartless psychopathic killer, is not an incel. The articles you read are clickbait, and I recommend never trusting those outlets again.

Usually not a fan of comic book related movies but I went to see this anyway. I was pleasantly surprised as it could be a stand alone movie on it's own. The movie was definitely dark and depressing but in a good way (if that makes sense). I thought Joaquin's acting was amazing. Recommend

Peaks and valleys. People weren't bitching so much about the wealthy in the 90s. But the last year on social media I've seen tons of woke 20 somethings posting some article and saying "eat the rich." The poor rising up against the rich isnt new by any means but it's the latest woke trend in 2019
