im browsing the best health insurance for an individual in NY and the most expensive is $1,800 a month, for a family plan the most is $5,100 a month. so for all the people that make good money but their employers dont offer health insurance they have to be paying near $60,000 a year for the best insurance for the couple and kids and still have to make co-pays.
meanwhile im poor and on medicaid and the only thing i have to pay is $1 to 3 a month depending on the medication, thats crazy. --- Hello. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No one actually needs insurance that expensive. Insurance is supposed to be for catastrophic things. You can pay cash for most doctor visits and it won't cost you that much.

What fantasy world are you living in? The only people who don't need insurance are those who get sick once a year and don't need any tests. While you can do your part by not smoking, drinking too much, and eating healthy foods, serious illnesses, chronic diseases, and devastating accidents are a part of life that you really can't get away from.
