Rika_Furude 10/17/19 8:07:20 PM #1:	The border security seemed a bit lax considering I just came from another country. I was pulled away for "questioning" where all they did was ask 1 question on what my trip is for and checked my passport. Although the actual security I went through was eh, it's weird walking through an area with like 20 cops open carrying pistols It seemed to be just the border guard or whatever but while they wernt nescessarily rude, they did often cut you off mid sentence, spoke more like they were ordering you around than asking another equal to do something, and didn't make any eye contact. There was no respect for some lady going through the body scanner and the guy in charge of it just yelled out and made a scene about "needing female assistence". Overall not a great process but eh I've never seen someone late for planes until today. But today at the American airport I saw like 3 different groups of people turn up late and miss their plane at the gate I was at. And every time after that when i heard final boarding calls for other gates I could see people start running. Boggles my mind that they are that unprepared Drove through some area with a bunch of homeless trying to sell water. Never really seen many homeless beggars in Aus. I've personally only seen one before today then saw like 10 in this one area On that note, driving in America is fucked. This middle lane thing used for turning is weird. Some truck just activated his horn for seemingly no reason. Some guy parked in the middle turning lane and got out of his car. So when we need to make a right lane we do just wait for oncoming traffic to pass like you do in America. But we don't sit in a turning lane like over here (maybe they do exist somewhere in Aus I've just never seen them). If it's a busy road there's probably a "passing lane" which cars behind the turning car use to navigate around whoever is stopped and turning. Sometimes you can drive off-road if it's like some back alley. On very busy roads and dual lane roads I think it's illegal to make right turns I dont think I'll have time to go to long island when I'm NY. Somewhere safe as well New Hampshire is super scenic and has towns with some of the lowest crime rates in the entire country.
