I think some new people moved in upstairs because I keep hearing footsteps at 6:30AM every weekday morning when I never have before. These machines I'm picturing are specifically designed to fill the room, whereas you can tell via a cell phone or laptop speakers or TV or whatever exactly where the sound is coming from A perfect machine is something you can place out of the way in the corner but have the whirring sound like it could come from anywhere in the room I guess I'm saying it's less about the noise and more about where the noise is coming from. The issue is the content ends up affecting my dreams (usually not in a good way).
