Should've got a CZ ring instead of helping a rich guy buy another yacht and profit off of people who are worked to death.

No way and if the person I was with was that materialistic then we wouldn't be getting married in the first place. I got my wife $250 for engagement and wedding ring in a deal and the ring she got me cost $100. $350 all in.

I'd spend up to $2k on a quality custom piece (she'd probably get hella mad at me for spending that much), but I'd also spend as low as $500. I just want to get her something unique and high quality. She doesn't care of how much it will cost, and neither do I for whatever I get. Would rather spend the dosh on a nice vacation making memories and having lasting experiences.

I would never spend 2 months salary. When I imagine someone even shelling out $5k I start to wince and shake my head.

Most western people won't even remember nor care about that tradition after another decade.

Marriage rates are sinking like Atlantis.
Unhitched life offers most of the same benefits with fewer risks and investment.
Women have been the primary proponents of marriage since the 1960's and even some of them are starting to give up on it lmao.

Did you know that divorce rates in the US are actually dropping?

Because a large of portion of millennials are not even bothering to get married. They don't value it. And a lot of their children won't either.

Dropping as a % or as a number? As if it's the prior then might indicate that people used to get married on a whim without really thinking about it.

I spent $450. She was very happy with it. Problem is I lost it when we moved into a new house and was painting. Told her to give it to me because she was covered in paint. Put it in my pocket. We believe it fell out of my pocket when taking out my motorcycle keys when getting more paint.

I'm probably probably going to have to spend more this time when I do replace it.
