Uses magical powers to alter the universe to make himself a big deal?

He was kind of a weedy failure background character for the series until one episode where he used magic spells to alter reality to make himself like the most important person in the world.

So even though he was a big old dopey loser with no skills everyone acted like he was amazing, he was stinking rich, had millions of fans who near enough worshiped him like a cult, his face was everywhere, he was always on the news, he was in charge of everything and he fucked beautiful women every night?

I mean it would explain a lot.

I mean, this exact thing isn't why I think he's so popular with incels and creepers, but the general principle applies. Inheritances aside, he's basically one of them, and they all know it.
