Is anyone making new projects in Perl. Tbh I kind of thought it was in the same spot as something like VB6, where there's probably a ton of corporate work maintaining existing projects but you'd have to be nuts to choose it for a new project.

There's a perl script that takes two versions of a latex file and compiles a pdf highlighting the changes. Annoying that it's in perl but quite useful in revising papers and reports
