Why did the guy in the mental hospital let Joker know some of the contents of his mother's file? Aren't medical records meant to be, you know...highly confidential?

Yep. And how come no one really went after him or showed up at his house that night? They knew exactly who he was.

Still a good movie, but no way that part would've happened like that in real life.

I prefer the theory where the riot, ans him being raised by the crowd, didn't really happen, but him breaking out at the end did.

In all likelihood, the clerk wouldn't have reported him to avoid getting written up or fired for it. Given that they were 30 year old records, nobody is going to ever need to know. Or it was all just fantasy as mentioned.

He realized halfway through that he shouldn't be telling this guy anything.

Even if he did report it would a privacy breach really be a priority for the GCPD.

I have another theory, JP's Joker isn't the Joker we see in Batman as he'd be too old by the time Bruce dons the cape. The Joker we know is someone who was inspired by JP's actions and decided to take on the mantle.

"Average Joe" is a trolling term since it's completely an opinion. "Overachieving" is also an opinion. - SBAllen (Hellhole: 52458377)
