Getting out of the military in a few months and going to school.

Thought about applying to UA in Tucson. Trying to get a feel for the area and school to see if its a good move.

Some in San Diego yeah. Theyre kind of hard to get into though as a transfer student. Most require 60 credits of transferable credits directly to your major which also includes very specific prerequisite courses. This is on top of admission rates also being significantly lower than most places.

I took some gen ed community college classes 9 years ago before I joined and only had a 3.5 GPA so it makes things kind of difficult.

I lived in California for 3 years and loved it there, but I would be worried about trying to make by with the GI Bill there without eating into my savings.

ASU is the party school, NAU is the stoner school, UA is the median between the other two.

Go to ASU, at least you won't be stuck in a bunghole town like Tucson.

UA has the prettiest girls hands down, very underrated in that department.

Nah, tuscon is alright, but the sheer volume of people in Phoenix makes Phoenix objectively better.

I live in Tucson. The campus is pretty. The town itself is.... old. It has terrible road infrastructure and some of the worst drivers I have ever experienced.

Oh damn. Is there anything to do around there or do you have to drive somewhere else to do things?

I'm sure there's stuff to do. I'm a home body so I don't really go out. It's a town of 1 million people. And if there's something going on in Phoenix it is only an hour drive away.

^That's a lie, Tucson to Phoenix is more like a 2 hour drive. That's why nobody wants to go there unless they're going to school.

Easy. I haven't made the drive in awhile, but I also know it didn't take 2 hours.

Depends on how fat you go. Highway patrol has been particularly aggressive lately because of that lane being a big trafficking area.

Tucson to Arizona typically takes closer to two hours. I've taken the drive quite a few times over the years.

I live in Tucson but never went to the UoA. I almost was going to go there but it just didn't work out that way. I did go to the local community college for two years though. I had a cousin go to the UoA and I think he liked it.

That being said, I don't think it's a very good town to live in overall, but I do like it over Phoenix simply because there's less people (most of the time it doesn't feel that way; it feels like there's a ton of people living in town) and also it's cooler than Phoenix (not by much but still).

If you dont mind, what are some factors that make it not a good town overall in your opinion?
