i haven't heard that xbox is going away. probably isn't . But do you believe it does help gamers if xbox sticks around? and will give sony gamers a better product usually?

I'm fairly sure Xbox One was the reason Sony didn't go with massive DRM. They saw the massive backlash when Microsoft revealed that stuff and then used that to prop up their PS4 by saying "we don't have that shit."

So yeah, I say it's a good thing to have Xbox as competition. I mean, Lord knows Nintendo's not competing. They're doing their own thing.

I'm sure it would've been bound to happen anyway, but stuff like preventing used game sales by only having games be playable on the system you first used them on (that was seriously a thing MS was thinking of doing...or it may have been only linked to your account. either way still a stupid idea) would've probably been tried, if not on PS4 then in the future.
