is pretty weak. I guess everyone who has ever killed someone goes on to become a serial killer or mass murderer. Damn the military.

True they don't but once you take the easy way out it becomes much easier to want to do it again. Also once you have killed something it becomes easier to do it.

For example I never wanted to kill rats though my family can kill them like they are bugs, but I hated the idea. So one day I found one trapped in a snap trap with no one else around I had to put it out of its misery. I felt terrible afterwards but since then I have killed 3 more and felt less and less each time. So like the dark side of the force once you start down that path forever will it tempt you back to it. You dont have to give in to it but it becomes even harder than if you never had.

The only thing worse is "killing you won't bring them back" after the hero has already killed a bunch of henchmen and the like.

You know what show did revenge right? Gun X Sword. There's some early hemming and hawwing about morals, but then it happens and it's quick, clean, and makes everyone's lives a whole lot easier.

I hated Joshua in that show, his brother loses everything to the villain and apparently isnt allowed revenge because josh cant stand the thought of his brother becoming that kind of person but the mc can kill him no probs and he will happily tag along for that.

I've always found the No-Kill Rule to be the epitome of superhero hypocrisy. Why can't more superheroes just follow Zero's philosophy on dealing with his enemies:

Mega Man Zero 4 final boss spoilers
Weil: "Are you even capable of it!? The Reploid hero... Protecting justice and humanity! I am one of those humans you were sworn to protect!
Do you have it in you to defeat me!?"

Zero: "I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"

No arrogant claim to heroism, no warped view of justice, just all badass.

A good point, Ray got a lot of the shit this topic is about. But Joshua largely joined Van to keep up with Ray, and it's not like Van's descent (or lack thereof) was a personal matter to Josh.

The fact Batman resurrected Joker after Nightwing killed him is proof it's not about some fear he won't be able to stop killing. He's just in love with Joker.

That, and comic book writers just want a convenient excuse for the superheroes to fight the same dudes over and over again.
