Wait til you get to like the fourth time through the shit. It's not even just the cutscenes, the amount of time you have to stand around waiting for someone to get done talking so you can hand them something or take something from them or just progress at all is ridiculous.

Is it worse than it was in BL2? I was already considering just not getting BL3 because no character seems remotely close to Melee Zer0/Athena but momentum breaking shit like overly long unskippable scenes where I cant do anything might seal the deal.

Much worse. They seem very proud of their characters and dialogue. I doubt I'll ever get to the other 2 characters, and I can't even look forward to UVM.

This is wrong. BL3 just fails at that type of humor.

They just needed someone to write the story who knows how to actually write something serious and comedic. Thank god they didn't bring Anthony Burch back because he can't write anything funny it's just mostly cringe, remember buttstallion? Nothing is worse than the Calypso twins and Vaughn is pretty bad too it's quite sad.

Melee Amara in BL3 is like melee krieg in bl2. She's great.

As someone who hates the humor and story in the series, it's easily the most fun game in the series. It's an absolute blast to play.

I didn't really think much about any of the cutscenes apart from a fairly frequent problem with character models flickering in and out of existence. Oh, and during one early-ish plot event rubble from the preceding boss fight was perfectly placed to completely obscure what was happening (although in fairness this is not the first game that's happened in).

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest never playing it. It is pretty fun, just the fun gets put on pause way too often and for too long. The good thing is you don't even need to do TVHM, you can just put on mayhem mode and farm at max level.

I was really hoping they'd realize people play through the games multiple times, and cut out all the downtime and shit people don't want to sit through for the seventh time. Instead they doubled down on the shit.

They literally should have hired the people that wrote Tales from the Borderlands. Telltale did a far superior job with the style and characters than the hacks at Gearbox.

Mayhem is the real endgame anyway tbqh.

I play fl4k lol. In the green tree because of the survivability for solo. I do half solo half multiplayer. I switch between the beefcake and gunslinger jabbers accordingly. I have some great guns for my level(18 lol) in the story. It's great. I already like it more than the first two. The gunplay feels better. I love pet classes in games and I know the pets are ass in endgame, but playing solo I like having a buddy. Plus he revives me lol.

BL3 main story is pretty mediocre, but it has the funniest side missions in the whole series.

It makes me wish that Borderlands 4 have no real "story", and the game just revolves around you looking for vaults and helping people with their shit along the way.
