Over accumulation of wealth widens socio-economical equality. Some of those who work hardest are also poorest. Most rich people just fall into money by having a really good education afforded to them by their rich parents.

Besides the problem is not rich people...its the billionaires who create monopolies out of their businesses and pay less tax than us thanks to loopholes.

"A 2017 survey from Fidelity Investments found that 88 percent of millionaires are self-made. Only 12 percent inherited significant money (at least 10 percent of their wealth), and most did not grow up in exclusive country club neighborhoods. The majority of millionaires went to college and are married or partnered."

Imagine being foolish enough to think that all or even most of the 1% worked hard to have the wealth and influence they have. The rich usually inherit large fortunes and then manipulate the poor and downtrodden and / have them do the actual hard work to make their money for them. Generally the poorer you and your family are, the longer / harder you generally have to work to accumulate your own wealth in life. That's usually how it's been and probably will be.

Gotta wait and see how reliable a survey can be. Like how big was the sample, from where? Found a study that says 76% were self made which is probably more accurate.
