Been playing Dark Souls II once more over the last few days.

Prior to that, I was going through a Resident Evil 3 run where I was taking down every Nemesis encounter in the game. I usually just run away, but I figured I'd give this challenge a shot. The hardest encounters are easily the first two, and then it drops steadily as your arsenal starts to pick up, especially the two sets of handgun parts dropped by Nemesis. This handgun, while not any more powerful than the standard one against him, fires so fast, it easily makes short work of him.

Shades of Silence: Good time so far but I am having a hard time buying "Williamann" as a girl name.

BTE 70-71: but nobody ever asks HOW'S Hangman

Shadows Shades Silence the thingy with the hell forest: well that got dang dark didn't it? I have no memory of this one, but it was a kinda fun change of pace. I don't feel a need to see more of this world like I do most of these, though.

For the sake of getting things back to the library on time, we're skipping Sixth of Dust this go-round. Don't remember that being one of my favorites anyway.

Edgedancer: Skipping this one is not an option even if I have to eat some late fees. I miss Lift. I miss Roshar.

ARIA 2-18- That New Me: We're havin' a senpai and kouhai cookout! Complete with a chant for the meat. Aika is changing her hair up. Aika's grown her hair out, but she burns it on the grill oh noes. This is actually about as negative as I've ever seen this show! And now it's time for Aika to develop a bit.

CHIKARA Speaking in Tongues: Hallowicked+Mettalico v. Perfect Strangers. Kingston is more hyped for Davis' birthday than he is for Satoci's abs! I like all four of these guys but I would have a hard time pinpointing the exact reason. Besides the abs. Solid match, heels over. (***) Good Hero promo before he faces Mickie Knuckles, and a good in-ring confrontation with both of them. A fairly simple build but they have me really wanting to see Mickie take this jerk down a peg. But it is not to be, as Hero breaks his word not to target the injured arm! Are we gonna get Kingston/Hero???

Edgedancer: Every bit as great as I remembered. :D Beated.

Disgaea 2: The Old Man Geo fight is just as annoying as I remember :D;;

Elantris: I think y'all told me it was not as good but as I understand it that's the last bit of Cosmere left? So, onward. It is not very pleasant so far but I have hope for this Sureen.

Elantris is his first published book and I feel like you can tell he isnt as experienced. The pacing just felt off and the story not as strong imo. And a lot of characters werent real memorable or interesting.

There is some really neat stuff in it still and it gave us a world of really diverse magic like Emporers Soul so I'm cool with it.

Trails: Best Imouto is BACK! So is the escalator but that'll have to wait until next time.

Elantris: There is about a 0% chance I will ever get Huncy K's family straight, much less figure out how to spell anybody's name. Also Raethen's voice sounds a bit like George Takei, so there's that.

Homestuck Epilogues: I dunno this is kinda a weird direction to go. Everything's just kinda weird for everybody even before we really start digging in to whatever the major conflict winds up being.

CHIKARA Speaking in Tongues: Cannon/Claudio v. Quack/Jigsaw is our main event. Cannon looks like a highschooler I used to work with at Wendy's. Jigsaw and Kingston roar at each other a bunch. Good stuff! Faces over, and Quack stops a Hero runin. (***1/2) Quickie Quack promo after. Trial By Foam will be skipped per advice, so we're on to Grape American Bash next time!

The marquee said it was an 8-man, but looks like a 6-man, as they face Mickie, Sitoci, and Davis. Ebessan is in the crowd, according to Kingston. THE HINDUS ARE BACK but McClure has his own warmup ideas. Tecnicos counter with the ROBOT this is a clinic. Fun opener and....Sweeney gets the win? What timeline is this? (***1/2) Gran Akuma faces a RoH trainee and presumably wins. Claudio v. Storm in a, uh, fans bring the fans match. Solid match, good crowd response....goes to time limit.

Elantris: BOLD PREDIX- Dilaf backstabs Raethen. But will that lead to a Raethen face turn? For a sec I forgot Reoden existed and was about to predict that Raethen and Sureen would be a thing <_<

Tbh it's RNG based and locked unless 100%. Save and try during the weekend. If it doesn't work, then do a battle or two to level up or raise a skill and try again.

Aria 2-19- That Crybaby.../That Young Girl's Heart...: We open with an unusually ominous letter home about what to do if Akari ever disappears. Aika's still got her short hair- it's pretty cute but man the old look was iconic. Aika gets sick but gets bored being stuck at home so she goes out. Sure is some timing. Gets oddly poignant when she sees the other two carrying on more or less as usual without her. Also it's time to go see Al to show him our new hair, so I guess maybe we're done with the Alicia ship? Feels weird man. Aika is really growing on me though- she has a cute side and I think a bit more complexity than most of this cast at the same time. Goooood spotlight ep and some good light fluffy romance at the end :D

Okay, so I bought Suikoden II from the PSN store a couple of days ago [it was on sale for $2.99, couldn't pass it up], and the other day, I got started with it. Very little progress so far, and even one of the opening areas is fairly tough, with enemy encounters that hit rather high on character HP. Looks like a bit of leveling is in-order to survive.

Yes indeed! I played a bit farther in Suikoden II today, did enough leveling to comfortably advance through the first major area in the game, and I also got past the first boss at the end of that section.

Let's Play MGS4 13-2: motorcycle rail shootin' pew pew

ARIA 2-20- That Shadowless Invitation...: We're going for one of the spooky ones this time I guess! I'm with Akari- I don't like scary stories they're scary. This time it's about a woman who was wrongfully executed and seeks a ride to an island to be buried but you get SPIRITED AWAY if you take her. ARIA is just as good at creating vaguely creepy stuff as it is peaceful stuff though, and even blending the two on a good day. We've had a ghost before and we've had cat world a few times, but it looks like this time we're getting both, as we have a lot of cats gathering and looking alert. The ghost lady nearly takes Akari to the shadow realm or something, but Cait Sith makes the save! This one was kinda intense by ARIA standards honestly.

Trails: Spent half an hour wandering around trying to find an extermination.

CHIKARA Grape American Bash: Rorshach/Hagodorn/Crossbones/Metallico rep S&S against NJ Allstars and Knight Eye. Decent match, camerawork did them a bit dirty. (**1/2) Quack v. Cannon should be lit tho. And it was! Quack wins off a rollup (***1/2)

Homestuck 2: That sure is a whole lot of nothing we just did and talked about. I guess that's thematically appropriate at least.

FE: Resumed from bookmark, lost a few times, got annoyed and quit.

Aria 2-21- That Night of the Galaxy Express...: Akari hears weird train noises in the middle of the night, and gets an invitation to come on board! I thought the Galaxy Express was something they made up for Galaxy Express 999, but Aria-shachou shows up to ride in Maetel cosplay so maybe that's still the case. Anyway, this is very mysterious and cat-related. We're really leaning into that this season I guess! We show up to ride, but give our ticket to a kitten who didn't have one. Are we going in a romantic direction with Cait Sith? I am not sure I like that. This also seems to be the first time where we actually retain our memories permanently and are sure that they actually happened!

Trails: Found the extermination with help of an FAQ, but ran out of time to beat it. Wasn't doing too hot anyway.

Trails: Knocked out the Tratt Plains extermination in the rematch- was a bit tricky, but not a big deal if taken seriously. I miss not having to fight several mobs a screen, but maybe I'm a bit underleveled right now so maybe it's a good thing I don't have the invisibility quartz.

Aniversario Blue: I appreciate how much of this highlight video is Darkness Crabtree, and Mister Zero reading his paper. And Tecmo Wrestling for some reason? It's like six minutes long though, and that's kinda a lot for a generic "hey we're kinda cool" video. Leonard F. Chikarason makes what I believe is his first appearance of this watchthrough! Think we've got Sweeney/Kingston commentary, so I'm a happy camper. I'm even happier that we get DARKNESS CRABTREE IN THE HOUSE. He steals somebody's hat and Chikarason's glasses! He's facing Equinox, who gets a fairly quick win, apparently making his case for the YLC. (**1/2) Kabuki Kid and Kanjyoru Matsuyama are here to take on the Dark Breed after a quick intro. Some cool offense from Kabuki Kid, some mysterious shenanigans from the Dark Breed. They kinda remind me of the Dark Order! Heels win after a friendly fire misting. (***) KoW promo time! Cannon gets called out for losing a few times, and now he gets a chance to redeem himself against Sabian.

Disgaea: Good bit farther on the Colosseum Dungeons. Some interesting gimmicks this time! And Shiki the Kunoichi joins.

FE: Lost a few more times on the Dmitri paralogue. Sure is fun having to babysit two "strong" units that cause instaloss when they can get otk'd by double bolting whenever the enemy feels like. Kinda tempted to be done with the whole game actually.

MLP 9-18- She Talks to Angel: Please don't make carnivores eat vegetari- ZECORA. This is a fun concept but I have a hard time sympathizing with Angel. ...wait did Angel just confirm DiscordxFluttershy o___O Also hey Lyra and Bon-bon sighting. I like the gecko. And the Bunny Stare.

CHIKARA Anniversario Blue: Cannon/Sabian should be good! Danger/Kingston commentary banter is entertaining. Lotsa good power offense and heelery from Cannon here, as he picks up the win. (***1/2) Dr. Cheung looks like a big ol' jobber, and will be facing Niles Young. Cheung gets a lot of the offense, so I guess he's not a jobber, but he looks like one and is not really selling me. He's doing the flippidoos and stuff, he's just....kinda....sluggish, somehow. Nice Doctor Bomb to finish it though. (**)

There's a RoH Graduate tournament I guess but tooooo bad. Looks like it went broadway. FIST will face Men at Work. Wifebolo pops for Song 2. We have increased the time limit to 30m this time! And then Storm wins with a cradle in under 5m. u wot m8? (**) During intermission FIST come back out I guess? They call out Men at Work again....heel turn incoming. They get to shove some refs, too! Not sure why they couldn't have done this right after the match. Zero takes like a move and a half and sells it like death.

SHARECROPPER IS BACK and SWEENEY GETS TO TALK. Time for the weird stip match with KE4PG! Sweeney cuts pretty much the same promo for the live fans that he did for the DVD lol. Some cool spots and some awkward ones, and the faces go over after a missed chain shot! (***) Sweeney carries Sharecropper to the back XD.

Nebula promo en espanol- something about respecting but fighting Skayde. Think they said this was 2/3 falls? Bryce counts in Spanish! Weirdly paced in the beginning, and the crowd doesn't seem that into it. They find their stride during the second fall I think. Skayde comes out on top. (**1/2)

Wifebolo and I watched all of THE BIG SHOW SHOW for reasons I don't fully comprehend. Wasn't lifechanging, but it was a perfectly acceptable sitcom and Big Show was in it.

R-Type Delta: I decided to dust this one off today, and give it a go. Lots and lots of deaths later, I reached mid stage 6 before deciding that was enough punishment for today. Tough, but yet, great game. Played on the Normal setting.

Disgaea: Chapter 8 and first fight of 9 beated. Fights are getting a little more precarious and a lot of my team is behind in levels, so I think next time will be Item World time.
