He performed at the end of "Late Night in the Phog", a pre season celebration following scrimmages as right off the bat he offended audiences when he sang Akon's hit "I Wanna F*** You" He is featured in the song and is seen in multiple videos using CASH CANNONS while scantily clad women surrounded him.. The performance drew alot of criticism with people finding his display "offensive" and "not appropriate" in a college atmosphere with freshman students in the crowd Athletic Director, Jeff Long issued a statement and said "We apologize to anyone who was offended by Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night. We made it clear to the entertainer's managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for this show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short".
