In general anyway.
This isn't like video games where there is a physical vs. digital argument. Ownership of music digitally isn't really even a thing anymore. People generally get their music from subscription services, and often through free services supported by ads where you don't have total control of what you're listening to. --- Shenmue II = best game of all time Shenmue = 2nd best game of all time ... I don't subscribe to any music streaming services, I buy vinyl - ~350 albums - that sometimes comes with a digital download, and I buy cds - ~275 albums. All 10k ripped/digital/torrented mp3s are backed up on a local network drive, plus on the 128GB microSD card in my phone. I have absolute control over what I listed to and I generally do own all my music. I don't really concern myself with how other people consume music.
I only listen to the radio on the ~7 minute drive to work or the occasional ~40 minutes of driving around for errands, and when I do it's a French language station that plays and incredibly eclectic range of genres. YouTube is great for shitty quality surfing, especially when I'm playing drums. Plus going to a festival is always a fun way to experience new music. ... Copied to Clipboard!
