Yeah it looks nice but the level scaling is terrible and the pacing is too fast. You can beat Johto in a few hours if you have just 2 Pokemon (not counting Hm slaves.) Im at Azalea Town and all of my Pokemon are 2-3 levels above the strongest Pokemon rn. You basically have to avoid most trainers or run 5-6 Pokemon if you dont want to be overleveled.

Because most people play for the experience, not the grind.
Also people who run pokemon multiple times without even making it a challenge run are absolute nutjobs, prove me wrong. The game has major nostalgia factor as a kid because of the egg/trading system imo. As an adult though, yeah, the game has some major flaws as a one and done playing experience.
