so we all know that line "ah! after 10 thousand years I'm free! time to conquer earth!"

but it seems that the Super Sentai series that season 1 of Power Rangers is based on, is about I think both the villains and the rangers being from like a million years ago in some lost civilization. and they wake up in modern day. why didn't Rita say "after a million years I'm free"?

makes me feel like as usual, people dumb things down for americans

Because Power Rangers isn't a translation of Super Sentai or even a localization that took a lot of liberties, it's completely different in every way except for having action scenes borrowed from its Japanese counterpart.

The line is only given by Rita in the intro. Finster is the one who remarks they've been sealed away for 10,000 years in the actual episode.

Also it is implied that Zordon sealed them away on another planet and the dumpster was sent through space where it eventually landed on Earth's moon. Rather then move it Zordon set up his base there as a line of defense when the dumpster was eventually opened.
